CEO

Founder, Chairman, and Chief Scientist
Kay Giesecke
Founder, Chairman, and Chief ScientistKay Giesecke is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Scientist at Infima. He is also Professor of Management Science & Engineering at Stanford University, the director of the Advanced Financial Technologies Laboratory, and the director of the Mathematical and Computational Finance Program. Kay serves on the Governing Board and Scientific Advisory Board of the Consortium for Data Analytics in Risk. He is a member of the Council of the Bachelier Finance Society.
Kay is a financial technologist interested in solving the challenging modeling, statistical, and computational problems arising in fixed-income and credit markets. Together with his students at Stanford, Kay has pioneered the core elements of the deep learning and computational technologies underpinning Infima’s solutions.
Kay’s research has won several awards, including the JP Morgan AI Faculty Research Award (2019) and the Fama/DFA Prize (2011), and has been funded by the National Science Foundation, JP Morgan, State Street, Morgan Stanley, Swiss Re, American Express, Moody's, and several other organizations.

Co-Founder and CTO
Alex Papanicolaou
Co-Founder and CTOAlex Papanicolaou co-founded infima and serves as CTO. His specialities include data science, machine learning, computational algorithms, statistics, software development, and more. He specifically leads development of infima's suite of forecasting models and computational algorithms for fast prediction delivery.
Prior to infima, he was a Senior Data Scientist at Integral Development Corporation working on challenging data intensive problems in foreign exchange markets to deliver analytics for trade execution. He developed analyses for sell-side brokers to assess order flow quality, models to support improving execution quality in the matching engine, and a novel use of computer vision methods to detect adversarial actions taken against buy-side traders.
He also served as a postdoctoral researcher and instructor at UC Berkeley in the Consortium for Data Analytics in Risk where he developed and taught a course on sports analytics for aspiring undergraduate data science students. He received his PhD in computational mathematics from Stanford University in 2013 for work on statistical tests for dynamic stochastic processes used in financial mathematics.

Co-Founder and Chief Solutions Officer
Nicholas Gunther
Co-Founder and Chief Solutions OfficerNicholas Gunther is infima’s Chief of Product. He has a background in advanced mathematical methods and financial markets, services, regulation and securitization.
Nick has worked on the development, structuring and execution of financial products at AIG, Goldman Sachs, and other Wall Street firms. He founded registered broker-dealer GH Group and became its CEO.
After selling GH, Nick pursued computer and internet-based businesses, including automatic grading and financial data and analytics distribution. He is one of the founding partners of Visible Market, a company dedicated to providing new visual approaches to understanding financial markets. Nick is also affiliated with UC Berkeley’s Consortium for Data Analytics in Risk.
Nick received a PhD in Mathematics (1982) and JD (1986), both from Harvard University.

Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Derk Osenberg
Vice President of Sales and MarketingDerk Osenberg is infima’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He has over 25 years of leadership experience within finance and technology.
Derk joined infima from Truvalue Labs where he led the North American sales team. Prior to joining Truvalue labs, he led client-focused teams at LSEG/Refinitiv/Thomson Reuters that were responsible for growing the Asset Management and Quant segment. Derk and his teams worked with finance professionals at asset managers, asset owners, banks, hedge funds, and FinTech firms to provide customized solutions of data, analytics, software, and data management platforms.
Derk has served on the Advisory Board for several FinTech firms. He also serves as a Board Member and chairs the development committee for Friends of the Forest Preserves in Chicago. Derk holds a B.S. in Business Economics from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

Vice President and Head of Marketing and Product Marketing
Anne Acosta
Vice President and Head of Marketing and Product MarketingAnne Acosta is Infima’s Vice President and Head of Marketing and Product Marketing. She brings more than 25 years of financial technology experience across services, product management, product marketing, and marketing.
Prior to joining Infima, Acosta held senior marketing and product marketing positions at several companies, including SS&C Advent and Truvalue Labs (acquired by FactSet in 2020). Most recently, she was VP of Marketing at AI company, Kogniz. She has previously spearheaded product marketing for fintech solutions spanning environmental, social, and governance (ESG), research management, portfolio management, trading, compliance, and wealth management at SS&C Advent and Truvalue Labs. Before that, Anne held professional services roles at Eagle Investment Systems (acquired by BoNY Mellon) and Thomson Financial (now Thomson Reuters).
She holds a B.A. in Diplomacy & Foreign Affairs, Political Science, and German from Miami University and an M.B.A. with concentrations in Marketing and Global Business Management from The University of Texas at Austin.

Vice President and Head of Product
Michael Digris
Vice President and Head of ProductMichael Digris is Infima’s Vice President and Head of Product. He brings more than 25 years of financial technology experience across Fixed Income, Product Management, Data, and Proposition Management.
Prior to joining Infima, Michael held senior product and proposition management positions at several companies, including Informa, Thomson Reuters, and was a co-founder at BondAxe (acquired by Reuters in 2006). Most recently, he was Head of Data at EPFR, an Informa company. He has previously headed up product launches for fintech solutions in Fixed Income Holdings, Fund Flows and Allocations, Equities Derivatives and FINRA TRACE Data. Before that, Michael held management roles at Visible Markets (the first online auction-based mechanism for Fixed Income Securities) and Internet Tools (acquired by Symantec).
He holds a B.A. in Economics and Communications from Fitchburg State University and a J.D. from Suffolk University School of Law.

Head of Client Solutions
Jinzhao (JZ) Wang
Head of Client SolutionsJinzhao Wang is Infima’s Head of Client Solutions. Based in New York, her experience spans trading, strategy, and quant modeling for structured products focusing on MBS. Before joining Infima, she traded MBS, co-managing a book of specified pools and TBAs at Mitsubishi Securities. Jinzhao previously served as an investment strategist analyzing CLOs and MBS at Amherst Pierpont Securities. Before that, she worked as a data scientist in academia and start-ups.
Jinzhao earned an MS in Finance and Management (2016) from the European School of Management and Technology and a BA in Applied Mathematics (2014) from Harvard College.

Director of Operations
Bonnie Loo
Director of OperationsBonnie Loo is infima’s Director of Operations. She has over 20 years of experience with managing complex projects and programs in software development and design.
Bonnie joined infima from FactSet through their acquisition of Truvalue Labs in 2020. At FactSet, she established the first program management team in the Content and Technology Solutions business unit. Prior to this, Bonnie has held various project and program management roles at technology companies including Adobe, Cisco, and Dolby.
She holds a B.S. in Biological Sciences from San Jose State University.
